Running Shoes are Complicated.

Went with my mom today to get new running shoes because my old ones are giving me blisters when I run at Crossfit. I never knew what a process real running shoes were, I always just bought the pretty ones. They put me on a treadmill and had me step on a squishy thing to analyze my gait, and apparently, my arch falls when I take a step so I need a stability shoe, I need a narrow toe box, and I need them not to be totally hideous. Couple this with a bad economy where running stores aren't ordering lots of inventory, and I went to three stores and couldn't find anything to fit my needs. I finally ordered a pair that will come into the store tomorrow or the next day, and hopefully they work. This is not what I envision when I see myself shoe shopping. I went with the Adidas Salvation:



PS. It was close to 90 degrees out in AZ today. Where did this come from?

Made the long drive back to S-dale, zonking on the couch and gonna order food to pick up from my favorite place in the world with amazing, healthy food and totally rude and inattentive servers who are too hip for their own good, Pita Jungle. On a sad note, my giant purple Miu Miu ripped apart from the strap today, apparentely it can't handle the intense weight of my master's level school books. I made a temporary and invisible fix with string and superglue. We'll see how long this holds.

I also totally love this piece by Miss Selfridge, I saw it on Rumi here. Unzipped, its a big tee, zipped up, its a mini dress. And its only 20 pounds! (like $40 US).

Rachel Weekend Begins!

Rach got here in the morning, so I went to the earllyyyyy workout session and picked her up at the airport. Then we went shopping in West Hollywood all day long, it was madness. A sample sale, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Madison, Decades, Kitson, LF, Diavolina, Polkadots & Moonbeams, Wasteland, and couple random little vintage stores. Breakfast at Urth Caffe, lunch at Joan's on 3rd. It was amazzinng. I managed to only spend $150, so there will be a little eBay selling for me to break even. Going to dinner tonight, and maybe to a couple bars!
