My Arms Are On Fire!

Ok, I take it back. I will resume Crossfit tomorrow, but tonight I am going to a nice, relaxing hour of yoga. My arm muscles are screaming and Crossfit is doing Olympic weightlifting today - no thanks.

Went to Crossfit Scottsdale today since I'm home from LA and put my CFLA membership on hold. Not crossfitting for weeks kicked my arse. My back and buns hurt. I also decided to try and go everyday until Sunday because they're offering some free classes this week. Its my punishment for not working out and being force-fed delicious treats while I was attending my family reunion in Canada. I also signed up for fall classes and decided for sure that I'm finishing my master's in 1.5 years (for fear of the parentals cutting me off before I'm done school). And I'm taking a ridiculous amount of classes to do so.

I'm into self-torture, apparently.

It finally monsooned tonight - thank you desert gods.

Cruisin in the HHR

A few weeks ago, a delightfully intelligent teenage girl rear ended me severely while I was stopped at a crosswalk, resulting in my spendind a nice afternoon at UCLA medical center with a concussion and sprained neck and feeling sorry for my poor car that has been through the wringer in it's short BMW life. I dropped it off today to be fixed, and Enterprise gifted me with a large gray box, known as the Chevrolet HHR. Although I think it is just an ugly PT Cruiser-like hybrid, I am trying to bond with it, as we will be spending a few weeks together. I'm home in Scottsdale for a month or so to work and wait for the car to be fixed, so the outfits are going to be miniscule and lacking layering to accomodate the 115 degree heat. Hopefully you understand ;). My black Ray-Ban wayfarers were demolished in the accident, as they flew off my face, hit the dashboard, and broke.... Does anyone know if insurance will pay for them? I was more worried about the glasses after the accident than my head injury....

I'm back in LA finally, to a cleaned out apartment!!! Ahhhhh. I won't be here for long as I'm going to go home for the summer to work and make some monAHY. Went to the beach (and somehow sunburnt my shins pretty bad), got a pedicure, and hunted for the perfect bed linens (which I could not find - complaint: Anthropologie carries duvets, shams, and throw pillows... But no sheets). Now I have a ton of unpacking and laundry to do but my lack of motivation is going to bring me to do it all day tomorrow instead. And then go out tomorrow night!
