Class on Saturdays Makes Me Cranky

I'm sitting in a required 9-5 class today. Its Saturday. Counting the hours....

Luckily I had a Friday Day-o-fun: morning walk by the sea, exploring Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice (something I regrettably hadn't done yet), going to lunch at Blue Plate Oysterette, watching the sunset on a beach in Malibu, making homemade pizza for dinner (with a hefty amount of wine) and then seeing "The September Issue" (it was good. "Valentino: The Last Emperor" was better.)

It made up for today.

Grad School Ruins Lives.

Or just my school one. Because of my previously-mentioned scheduling gaffe, I was unable to attend LA's version of Fashion Night Out last night - the star even being at Fred Segal on Melrose. Instead, I was in class. Wearing a fun outfit because I like to make class the most fun and fashionable place I can? (While crying on the inside).

School Starts... Oh Crap, NOW!

Sooooo I thought school started next week. I came back to LA with a week to get my life in order before it starts. Cut to Tuesday afternoon, when after some browsing on my Facebook, I came to the startling realization that school started... Tuesday. As in, a couple hours. Apparently, just Monday classes start next week because of Labor Day... DUH.

So I'm back in school and trying to get my shiz in gear as well. In fact, I'm in class right now (shhhh, don't tell - it looks like I'm a diligent note-taking grad student). Sigh.

Back in LA!

And my clothes told me they really missed me. Spent the weekend going to the beach, dinner, farmer's market, getting my apartment back in order, and of course, hitting up the LF boutique sale (pretty much my favorite time of year).

Today I have a million errands to get done, and I'm going to tackle making my own veggie sushi tonight (since the fish allergy developed, I'm wary of it). with these Annie Chun's packs I got:
