So Not Fun.

Midterm on this lovely Tuesday, besides a quick trip to the gym, I shall be spending the day in the library with my books. Fan*f-ing*tastic. I've decided I should probably start commenting on other people's blogs besides my few random friends seeing as I've had this blog for over a year and despite the views telling me a number of people are looking at it, my comment section is a sad little area. Of which I attribute to my inherent laziness at all things I deem unnecessary. So yeah, gonna start some hardcore commenting. I don't think you're ready...

On a side note, this is how I imagine I will be biking around on my new Schwinn cruiser:

A girl can dream. Really I'll be kickin' it in Converse.

WEARING:

James Perse Distressed Sweatshirt (from Barney's sale last week)

Urban Outfitters Textured Latex Leggings

Rock & Republic Studded Flats (from Gilt last week. Free shipping day - I'm so weak lately! As evidenced by the extent of eBay sales I've been racking up to compensate)

Super Bore Weekend

It started out fun on Friday with happy hour at the Yard (owned by CJ from Top Chef) and a late night trip to Dear John (which was fantasticly awful - I hate both Channing and Amanda when I was previously pretty indifferent to them). Then on Saturday morning I decided to hit up the LF sale on my way to Whole Foods and got the delightful sweater you see below for $60. But the rest of the weekend was spent wearing Free City sweats and studying for midterms, going to the gym, watchind dvr'd episodes of Millionaire Matchmaker and eating swedish fish. So now I feel lethargic and bored. Crashing hard.

Registered for the CBEST test so that I can substitute in California and also joining a casting agency that will find me jobs as an extra. In addition to FINALLY starting Practicum for my master's in the fall this is shaping up to be my life for the next year. Interesting mix, but at least I finally have a plan right? At least I'm kind of still young enough to be dicking around right? Right.

WEARING MONDAY:

LF Striped Baggy Sweater

J Brand Pencil Leg Jeans

Miu Miu Black Suede Wave Pumps (found these as the last pair at the Barney's sale in Scottsdale in Dec, didn't buy them and immediately regretted it. Went on eBay all of Jan and then they popped up in my size from Scottsdale; coincidence, or fate?)

Rayban Red Wayfarers (which I wear nearly everyday since most of my outfits lack any sort of colored hue)

El Nino Strikes Again

Barney's Warehouse sale, part one yesterday - managed to resist some amazing Prada shoes yesterday as I know from last year's wistful shoe bonanza that in the last few days, the prices drop dramatically. It was still extremely painful though.
Tip #1- The "as-is" section is the gold section at the beginning of the sale, because the most common problem seems to be either a tiny hole by the necktag where someone was overzealous in ripping off the pricetag, or a little schmutz on the item, which can easily come out if it's washable. I got a Vince tee for $9, T Alexander Wang dress for $50, James Perse Distressed Sweatshirt for $50, and the Barney's Coop shirt I'm wearing today for $30.
Tip #2 - If you cannot find meter parking, which is obviously your cheapest best, there is a lot directly across the street for $8 (while under the LA Convention Center, its $12). Saves you a few bucks. It's actually closer to the entrance than the real lot.

The rain has returned, and with it, my Hunters. I'm having a triple date night with happy hour and Dear John tonight avec ma copaines. (I don't remember how to spell French, despite my 10 years of it. Sue me.)

WEARING:

Barney's Coop Oversize Work Shirt

LNA Black Spandex Zipper Leggings

Forever 21 Gray Knee Socks

Hunter Boots in Beige

GAP Black Peacoat (super old but a trusty fave)

Dr. Itchy

Allergy testing today, and I'm an itchy, rashy girl now. As expected, severely allergic to all nuts, but came up with a few randoms like turkey, sesame, peas, pinto beans, raspberries and peaches. I'm a sensitive soul, but I love hummus and fruit and sesame bagels and don't see myself cutting those out, despite my itchy mouth and throat. Sorry to anyone I scare away at the Barney's Warehouse sale on Friday, it's possible I may still be covered in giant welts....

WEARING:

C&C California White Long Sleeve Tee

See by Chloe Multicolor Silk Skirt ($50 @ Nordstrom Rack this weekend)

Scoop NYC Black Tights

Target Black Flats (bought these to stud; haven't gotten around to it yet but threw them on while they're still lacking bejewels)

Love Quotes Marina Scarf

J Brand Black Distressed Skinnies

Zara Studded Sandals

Multiple rings ala Marykate

A Happy Hour (or a few)

Spent the rest of the weekend to going happy hour at Sushi Brokers with the girls where we started planning the wedding of the century and got belated birthday gifts. Then I went to my old gymnast girl's meet on Saturday night, paid the gym a visit, got manis/pedis/eyebrow waxes with my mom and aunt and finally tried FEZ for dinner in downtown Phoenix. I have some sort of cold now from which I place the blame on the kids I subbed for on Friday, but no complaints. It twas a lovely weekend.

WEARING:

White and Yellow Stripe Baggy Sweater (SUPER old - Rachelle, do you remember this bad boy? Sorry I look so white & scary... It's been a longggg day))

LA Made White Scoop Tank

Current/Elliott Light Boyfriend Jeans (got another pair at Nordstrom Rack this weekend because when they're on sale for $25, I just can't help myself)

Arabian Nighhhhhhhts

Subbed for a high school French class all day yesterday while I was home and spent the day watching the first 45 minutes of Aladdin en Francais 5 times. It made me realize that I'm in need of a large stack of good books...

Went to dinner the night before at Chelsea's Kitchen with my dad and his wife and boyf's dad and his girlfriend. It was surprisingly a blast and a half, until it took us 30 minutes after dinner and restaurant closing to find our damn car keys (there was a hole in the lining of my purse and they had slipped into the crevice to hide - whoops!)
