Its a Sunshine Day

I luv how I go from sitting around bitching about not having any work, to working everyday - finally, some money! I also missed my girls like crazy, I love coming back to coach them. They only see me every few months so they're always excited, I appreciate the admiration and accolades. You don't get those when you're there everyday.

After work, I'm meeting mi padre and clan for dinner.

Does anyone know how to properly shred a t-shirt a la Raquel Allegra? I promise this is not just because they were in the Zoe Report today - every time I've tried, mine just end up with gaping holes....

WEARING (Inspired by this Hilary Duff outfit she wore on the Gossip Girl NYC set this week - but I have to wear a tank under since its family time today):

Caffeine Detox

By the afternoon, on days I do not consume morning caffeine, I have a raging headache. Just like crack addict. But my drug is black tea in the morning and diet coke in the evening. Lame.

Crossfit, errands for my mom, helping my baby brother correct the fraudulent charges on his first big-boy credit card. Exciting life.

Wait, it gets better - Whole Foods for groceries and then the local sushi place with my mom. I am a barrel of entertainment.

HOWEVER, I did order the MUCH-coveted Sam Edelman Moto Booties!!!! They were way overpriced at this point (remember the $99 ones at Victoria's Secret? Shame on me for not being in-the-know enough then) and I got a size up because I heard they run small (and that was all they had anyway). If I get them and are too big/look cheap/uncomfortable, they are going straight back. They must be seriously loved if they want a place on my ever-changing shoe rack...

Yesterday... And Today.

Saturday:

Went to see "Food Inc" - left me with a big duh. Its better to eat local, non-processed, organic foods? No way. 2pm showing was sold out and we had to wait around for the 4:30 though, so that was surprising.

Hit up the Neiman's pre-sale sans Mama, so put stuff on hold until her Neiman's card is readily available (love you Mom!).

Went to dinner at Harolds in Cave Creek with the boyf's friends and dad: the WORST dinner I've ever consumed. I know better than to walk into these cowboy joints and order anything other than a side salad and fries, but last night, I opted for sauteed halibut which meant = fishiness with a bottle of soy sauce dumped on it. I'm still feeling nauseated.

WORE:

Balenciaga Vest (from Erin Wasson's Garage Sale)

Hanes White Wifebeater

Juicy Couture Black Linen Shorts

Elizabeth & James Knockoff Brown Beads

Dolce Vita High Gladiators (During day)

Jeffrey Campbell Burbs (During night)

Sunday:

Going to see 500 Days of Summer with friend at noon - I don't think I've seen as many movies in the last year as I have these past couple weeks. Thats what Arizona summer heat will do to you; drive you indoors.

Gym. Still sore from Friday's Crossfit. Natch.

Dinner with my madre, her man friend, my man friend, and the younger sibling. To be hopefully much improved over last night's.

Dear Credit Card,

I want bike shorts. Forgive me.

Weekend Blahs

Not much planned for this weekend - the bf is going out of town for 2 weeks on Monday and I start working at the gym next week and subbing the week after that. At least I'll make some money for....NYC in 3 weeks! (Or really, to pay off my credit card bill before NYC).

Ended up going to Pizzeria Bianco - The Oprah and CNN proclaimed "Best pizza in America" that real Phoenicians tend to steer clear of considering that the two other times I tried to go in the last 5 years, they already had a 3 hour wait at 5pm when they opened. But my dad's invitation to sit at the bar and fund the trip proved enticing and I downed 3 glasses of wine in the 100 degree heat over 2.5 hours. However, when I finally got my pizza, I was thoroughly disappointed (though slightly drunk so I didn't make a fuss). While the mozzarella was like butter and I could have been happy drinking that marinara out of cup, my whole crust was burnt black. Brother and boyfriend kept insisting that it was supposed to look like that due to the brick oven - however, their's looked peculiarly un-burnt. And tasted un-burnt (compared to mine, that on the ends, tasted like a campfire). Totally worth the sweltering wait - thanks Bianco. Never again.

WORE LAST NIGHT:

Anna Sui Silk Dress (on super-sale a few months ago from the designer shop at Nordstrom Rack for like $45... And without a weird rope around my waist...)

Dolce Vita Marley Gladiators

WEARING TODAY:

American Apparel Crop Top

C&C California White Bold Classic Tank

Bleachin' and Tearin'

Besides the 800 errands I'm running today (I become my mom's bitch when I'm home to make up for EVERYTHING she still does for me), I'm planning on bleaching an old Michael Stars cotton dress and shredding a pair of long-unworn J Brands. Sometimes I think I'm arty.

Going to dinner with my dad tonight, trying to decide where (I hit up Pita Jungle last night - 2 nights in a row seems excessive....)
